In the very beginning of this journey of making handcrafted soaps and lotions I was givin a firm message by my lord and saviour Jesus Christ. I was invited to my first vendor fair in Cerulean KY. I had no idea what to expect but I packed up my soap and 1 table and headed out. When I pulled up I saw vendors with 3 or 4 tents. They had several tables with table clothes with their companies logo on em. They had posters and flyers advertising what they had to offer. I looked down at my little 4 by 4 table and was a slapped with a reality check. "I'm not prepared" so I asked the lady running the show could I go and try to get some reinforcements. Of course she could see the fear in my eyes so she allowed me to leave. All I could find was another table. It was gonna have to do besides I didn't stand a chance anyway. I was gonna be the laughing stock. On my way back on that 45 min ride I prayed the entire way. I prayed "God if this is your way of letting me know I think to much of my own stuff and that I'm wasting my time and money well I got your message loud and clear. Please God just let me walk away from this thing and not be too embarrassed and ill stop ABC Soaps immediately. I was 1 of 20 some odd vendors there. I was set up somewhere in the middle. I had several folks walk straight past a dozen other vendors fortresses of tents up to mine stating "we heard ABC was here" I was floored!!! People was talking about me like that?!?! Would have never thought it. I had been there 5 hours and was beat. I pulled my car around so I could load up what was left and customers was shopping outta my back seat like it was the last bar of soap on the planet. I had started the day with over 350 bars of soap. I left with less than 20!!!  I come to find out that people had been giving my soaps away as presents and unbeknownst to me word had gotten out about our soap. Ive always had nothing but full confidence in our products because they speak for them selves. Starting the day I feared nobody had the time to know how good our products really are. I was proven wrong.  To make a long story shorter I was the number 1 vendor that day. IT goes to show its not all about the fancy banners and big tents. Its about the product and the message behind your product. I feel In my heart God answered my prayers that long drive back to Cerulean KY. To me God gave me his blessing. Like anything good in my life it was only (A)ll (B)ecause of (C)hrist.
